The other day I was trying to stream audio via a not-so-awesome wifi link
to another system using PulseAudio. The available bandwidth was so low,
the audio stuttered
devices.
For non-rtp, is there any kind of buffer in place for the remote end that
is receiving the audio stream?

We use pulseaudio in our LAN and we've noticed that the default Multicast
IP Address (ie 224.0.0.56) used by the module-rtp-send

I am seeing this same error now again with 0.9.12. I tried hard coding
-lltdl in the link flags, but no luck. Any idea how this can be fixed? It
seems it uses the system-installed ltdl.h, but doesn't get those symbols
right.

am pretty sure you have some ALSA problem here. Please make sure you run

this ticket, as I had lots of trouble now, caused by this
issue.
My system:
* Dell Inspiron e1705
* Gentoo Linux 2.6.26-r1
* Intel-HDA (STAX9200)
* USB Headset
* pulseaudio 0.9.13
As I have written in above post, this laptop has 3 speakers - two front
and LFE, but they are recognized as 2
at the alsa level. IMO this has to be fixed at the alsa level and adding
in complex work arounds and hacks in the auto-detection system in pulse is
really not the right place to fix things.
