Re: [Qgis-user] QGIS resource sharing plugin crashes QGIS

2016-09-09 Thread Etienne Trimaille
It's a known issue with every plugins using QWebKit with Ubuntu qgis 2.16.
It seems that the latest QGIS Nightly build fixed this bug :

[Qgis-user] Qgis nightly - stuck in loading "Add raster" dialog

2016-09-09 Thread Amedeo Fadini
hi everybody,

I'm not subscribed the dev list, so I try posting here.
Maybe is a know issue and will be fixed tonight.
Just updated qgis from debian-nightly

http://qgis.org/debian-nightly

when I try to add raster it freezes trying to open the add raster dialog...

The console output says

src/gui/qgisgui.cpp: 38: (openFilesRememberingFilter) [6691ms] Opening
file dialog with filters: All files (*);

I'm using Debian Jessie stable on amd64 , need update libgdal to 2.0?

[Qgis-user] Versioning SQLite/Spatialite

2016-09-09 Thread Tyler Veinot
Hello;
Been doing some searches on this topic and I though I would put it out here
to see if anyone has a direction they can point me in. When I worked with
NS Power we had a Oracle SDE Database through Esri and we could all edit
our areas independently of one another and at the same time by bringing
down a "version". We would work in a that "version" and when done reconcile
it to the master database.
I have also heard of people making python scripts to do something similar
with filegeodatabases where it looks for changes by going through the edit
date time and user stamps and amending those changes to the master.
Not finding much on how or if these things can be accomplished in a QGIS
Spatialite/SQLite environment and I suspect I am not using the proper
terminologies in my searches. So if this is something that some of you have
handled with in the past could you give me some direction please on where I
can find some examples and information on how to set something like this up?
Thanks;
Tyler

Hi Tyler,

There is the offline editing plugin which is shipped with QGIS itself
and other plugins in the plugin manager like versioning [1], GeoGig [2]
and probably more.

Please let us know if you have feedback about these, I'd be happy to
know more!

Matthias;
After I sent the email I realized I have not searched the plugins for a
while and did find the versioning one that I am playing with now. Did not
find Geogig, will check my settings and retry.

Sorry, Geogig is probably not in the repository as I see on the github
page. It sounds very promising though, I hope we'll get an official
plugin for that as well sometime.

Try to clip the raster and then create contours ok?

And let me know if it crashes.

Re: [Qgis-user] Wrong retrieving of wms legend

2016-09-09 Thread Andrea Peri
Hi Richard,

I do some other test.

Firstly.
I try to add a dummy style (a style defined without no any kind of
rendering) and the issu on the legend is disappeared.
This is ok.

But do some other test, and see that the question was not really due
to the absence of a style in rasters, but instead to the
definition of the raster layer inside named-grouped and that are
gerarchically defined.
The gerarchical definition of a raster is available in the OGC and was
adopted from the Inspire when it also expand the use definining the
named-groups. That are different from the more commons unnamed-groups.
AFAIK the named group is actually an unavailable feature in
qgis-server, but is available in the geoserver and mapserver systems.

Well, all our wms layer coming from raster dataset are all defined
using "gerarchical named groups".
This allow for example to serve at low scales using a dataset and at
higher scale using others more detailed dataset and showing all of
them as an unique layer wms (always one unique layer wms for all these
datasets at different details).

So, I notice that if I remove the gerarchical named-group definition
of the rt_ofc.10k54 and define it as a simple wms layer coming from a
raster dataset , and also removing the "dummy style", the
issue of retrieving all the legends is disappearing.

So I guess the real problem is that qgis don't understand well the
gerarchical named-grouped layers.
But I understand that is too difficult to support a feature that is
not available in the server side of him.

So assuming that we keave the wms raster as gerarchically named-group
, the workaround to add a dummy style could be a good compromise.

But my trouble is also that perhaps the workaround of add a dummy
style could affect negativelly other wms clients like arcgis.

So before of all we explore the compatibility of this workaround with
other GIS platform.

Thx for your help to understand this really strange issue.

A.

[Qgis-user] QGIS resource sharing plugin crashes QGIS

2016-09-09 Thread Filipe Dias
Hi
I just tried to install QGIS Resource Sharing plugin but QGIS crashed. When
I tried to restart it crashed again with this error message. Is it a known
issue? Should I report it?

Manually deleting the plugin solves the issue.

Thanks

[Qgis-user] qGIS crashes when working on rasters

2016-09-09 Thread pzab

Hello,

I am new user here and I would like to ask You for a solution concerning my
problem.

So...

I downloaded and installed qGIS 2.14.6 LTR. I tried to follow this tutorial
http://www.qgistutorials.com/en/docs/working_with_terrain.html.

I got the raster, added it to my new project and when I insert the coords
for Mt. Everest and change a scale I got the message qgis-ltr-bin stopped
working. And it automatically closed qgis windows. I restarted my computer
and try it again...and I got the same message.

What can be the issue of this problem?

Thank You very much in advance for helping me out.

Re: [Qgis-user] Versioning SQLite/Spatialite

2016-09-09 Thread Tyler Veinot
Versioning only seems to work with PostgreSQL datasets, so it will have to
wait for a review.
The core versioning didn't really do anything. I made my project offline
deleted a bunch of features, synchronized, and all the deleted features
came back. Will have to test further I guess.

Re: [Qgis-user] qGIS crashes when working on rasters

2016-09-09 Thread pzab
Hi Nicolas,

In fact that's the only layer loaded to the project. I checked also when
trying to clip the raster it crashes again and I cannot even create
contours from clipped raster because it says the gdal_contour doesnt work.

And the most funny thing is that I loaded the same raster to arcgis desktop
and it worked at first time, I even create contours and then a tin from
them.

I wonder what is causing the problem.

I checked at the other project. I loaded cataster data from wms and I
create parcels.shp to digitize the data from wms. Everything works fine
until...until I loaded a raster to the project.

I did uninstall twice and installed clean 2.16 and...the problem returned.

Why it worked on arcgis and why wont work on qgis?

Hi,

In Qgis 2.12, I can crash it if I have to many file with different
projections across a big territory (Canada).
Turn off all layers, change the project CRS to the layer you are having
trouble with, then zoom to the layer
extent, then turn the layer back on. That may... Or may not help..

Good luck!
Nicolas

Try to clip the raster and then create contours ok?
And let me know if it crashes.

Thanks Bernard for sharing python snippets.
What I had in mind was a core widget in field editors so that users can
make a form with a pick up tool that allow to fill measure or z value
without any coding. Anyway, sharing and advertising a code snippet doing
that will allow to have a better idea of how this can work.

[QGIS-it-user] QGIS 2.16.2 action e percorsi relativi

2016-09-09 Thread Totò
Salve a tutti,
assoluto, l'azione funziona.

potete darmi conferma, grazie.

win 10 64 bit OSGeo4W

ciao

Dear all,
I am using QGIS 2.16.2 and wish to split a multiband image into individual
raster. In the Orfeo Toolbox I can see the algorithm split image but when I
want to select it I keep receiving an error message:  Missing dependency. This
algorithm cannot be run :-( OTB folder is not configured. Please configure it

Could someone tell me how to configure it?Thanks
