Hi Norman,
There is no C++ compiler on SMSQ/E, the object code would have to cross
compiled.
Unless a C++ compiler could be done for SMSQ/E

Hi Norman,
Do you think that QT4 could be ported to run on a SMSQ/E system.

I would of thought that the screen functions in SMSQ/E could be used to to
define the screen size
105 scr_size=SCR_XLIM * SCR_YLIM
110 FOR a = 0 to scr_size

On QPC2, it says that it is not a 6020+ and exits.
I would say UQLX is the same based on a QL Rom

Hi Michael,
I have had a quicklook at the QTPI HTML manual, it defines the COMS DEV
section of the Preferences Menu for non-standard serial devices like:
Comm Dev: ser3_b38.4k_u2k_t_u2k
This defines the Superhermes SER3 to run at 38400 Baud. Since standard QL
serial ports are defined historical
Superhermes, then the SER3 port is defined
there.
All in the QTPI manual.

Why not use QPC to write the QL files from the DOS directory to the QL
disks.
This has 2 advantages, it is keeps the QL header in tact and QPC is a good
program to use in a Windows environment.

Hi Marcel,
Works great, is there any way to vary the geometry of the Xchnage window. As
I usually prefer a wider window.
But maybe that is asking too much without the actual source cide to Xchange.

Hi,
Tried Sedit and the GD2 version on the Q60 works great.
Pity other older programs can not be revamped like Sedit.

Remove the CPU from the QL and plug the Gold card into the QL and this may

This is an alpha port of an example GUI, not a replacement, it runs much

HI Marcel,
I forgot that the button frame is part of QPAC2.
I will have a look at loading the background image into the area of the
button frame.

JOhn,
Can Quanta not buy the source code to the Psion programs, then get a
team of programs to to update the applications to modern standards. Then
sell the new software to recover the cost of the source code purchase.

Suppose the decompression system could add another second or three, to
that time, so I wonder is 25-30 seconds to start the computer up too
slow...
My Windows XP 3.6Ghz machine takes more than that to load, but then this
is a badly written operating system.

Hi Marcel,
The screen dump lots great, if you want to implement it as a startup
screen to QPC.
I am not sure about QDOS Classic for QPC. I am quite happy to use QPC
and pay you to update the system.
