Aha, so it *is* RELAYCLIENT that's causing your problem. For squirrelmail (webmail), you'll need to get rid of the 127.: line in your tcp.smtp file, and add lines to SM configuration to make it authenticate. Here's what I think you need to add in /etc/squirrelmail/config_local.php: $smtpServ

Which client pgm are you testing with? I'm guessing here, but perhaps the RELAYCLIENT parameter is bypassing authentication, thus the message isn't authenticated, thus it isn't scanned. IOW, RELAYCLIENT *might* bypass scanning regardless. That is not consistent with the fact that you say attac
