Aha, so it *is* RELAYCLIENT that's causing your problem.
For squirrelmail (webmail), you'll need to get rid of the 127.: line in
your tcp.smtp file, and add lines to SM configuration to make it
authenticate. Here's what I think you need to add in
/etc/squirrelmail/config_local.php:

Which client pgm are you testing with?
I'm guessing here, but perhaps the RELAYCLIENT parameter is bypassing
authentication, thus the message isn't authenticated, thus it isn't
scanned. IOW, RELAYCLIENT *might* bypass scanning regardless. That is
not consistent with the fact that you say attac
Thanks Eric, Amit and Jack...
My Mail scanning is also working started. I have posted file setting in
previous mail.
But what about the user who send the mail through web based, as still SA and
simscan is not able to detect mail which are sent through web based ???
Many Thanks,

Hi,
Please find below tcp.smtp file.
I always done qmailctl cdb after any change made in tcp.smtp. Please
remember my attachment scanning is working ok.

This might be the bad solution but my basic concern is that I don't

I don't know of a way to do this with QMT (which isn't to say it can't
be done).
I understand your concern, but this restriction doesn't sit well with
me. I think it's a bad solution to the problem you're trying to address.
I think it would be better to change compromised passwords. Also be su
Hi Eric,
I don't think so eMPF can do this. Basically it should not allow
other user to send mail or it should do some thing like google smart
host i.e. from id in headers should automatically replace by
authenticated email id while delivering mail to reciepient.
If this patch is done then it can

Good going on the LDAP build, Amit.
Please post this question on the (upstream) vpopmail list (see

Brookings in particular, are the most knowledgeable about this.
It'd be nice if we could get vqadmin working properly (once
