[qmailtoaster] Does VERP work with qmail-toaster?
verp (Variable envelope return paths) doesn't seem to be working with my qmail-toaster program. I created the following file: .qmail-test-default which contains [EMAIL PROTECTED] But when I send to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" it says "no mailbox here by that name". I checked the forums and google and I'm still trying to figure out what's going on. [qmailtoaster] domainkeys guide
Hey all, been working off and on all week on getting a guide to setting up domainkeys on the wiki. I probably left some stuff out, and may be wrong on some minor technical stuff, but that's why i put it on the wiki, so others can change and add. i've set up 4 domains with domainkeys, and this is the method i've used. hope this is helpful. also - i forgot to put in there that i used Nick's existing guides and emails, along with some of the other mailing-list users emails in the guide. http://wiki.qmailtoaster.com/index.php/Domainkeys thanks all! Sorry If I´m asking such a simple question, but, are you sure that RAQ's mails are beeing sent to your qmail server? Did you run dns lookups in your RAQ to make sure it is getting the right MX's of the new domains? What about a packet capture with ethereal or tcpdump in your qmail? If you can see in sendmail logs, and in tcpdump that the packets are arriving, the transaction HAVE to appear in your /var/log/qmail/smtp/current log. Salutti, Natalio. Very nice. You may want to add that DomainKeys can't be used in conjunction with a smart host. So if you define a ':mail.isp.com' in smtproutes, then DomainKeys will always fails. You'll want to do this in QmailAdmin. Toaster also uses the chkuser patch, which queries the MySQL DB when a email comes in to see if the destined user exists as a mailbox or an alias. If it does not, it drops the SMTP connection. To do what you're looking to, you need to create the address in the DB somehow.

VERP seems to be working for accounts, but not for .qmail files. For example if you create an account [EMAIL PROTECTED], and send an e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] it works just fine. However I can't seem to get VERP to work with .qmail forwards. Perhaps you can just create an account and flip the switch in qmailadmin to be a forward. Although I haven't tested this configuration, I'm sure you can try it in minutes.
