[qmailtoaster] whitelist help

2011-09-28 Thread David

Hello All,
I havent posted in a while but ran into an issue with this log entry

DENIED_OTHER from: gpdur...@durandassociates.com to: mar...@hhinc.net
origin_ip: 209.85.160.178 origin_rdns: mail-gy0-f178.google.com auth:
(unknown)

I need to allow this sender through but since spamdyke did not tell
specifics on why its blocked I am

not sure how to whitelist him..

Ideas..

Thanks
Dave

[qmailtoaster] whitelist ip in trusted network

2011-04-07 Thread Rajesh M
hi

i wish to whitelist a client's server static ip in the spamassasin trusted
network

i am entering the line like this

trusted_networks xxx.yyy

if i do this then the email from this server ip should be given a negative
score

but it does not seem to work

reading the wiki it seem that i need to turn the -L switch

since this was not turned on by default in my qmail toaster installation i
would like some information as to any problems that i may face if i turn
on the -L switch

thanks very much

rajesh

[qmailtoaster] Whitelist any domain

2009-09-24 Thread amit IKF
Hi Everyone,

I got a bounced message from my toaster server. And the reason for bounce is
mentioned below:

Could not deliver message to the following recipient(s):

Failed Recipient: Local Emailid
Reason: Remote host said: 421 Refused. Your reverse DNS entry does not
resolve.

The email-id which got this bounced message is for 1 of my client and asked
them to ask there ISP to resolve there RDNS issue. But mean while his ISP
resolve the RDNS issue, I want to whitelist his domain on my toaster since
I'm expecting some important documents.
So how can I whitelist this domain? Do I need to whitelist this domain in
local.cf file of spamassassin or in rcpthosts file?

Thanks and regards,

Amit

That looks like you have spamdyke installed.

You can whitelist the IP of the server in your whitelist_ip-file that is
configured in your spamdyke.conf
Just put the IP on a line in that file.
If you have for example:
ip-whitelist-file=/var/qmail/control/whitelist_ip
in your spamdyke.conf
you add the IP of the sending server to the file:
/var/qmail/control/whitelist_ip
that's it

[qmailtoaster] Whitelist

2007-01-10 Thread Roxanne Sandesara

I am assuming it is possible to set up a list of addresses from whom
email should never be rejected as SPAM, regardless of what the
blacklists and Spamassassin say otherwise. But I cannot seem to find
in the documentation where such a list does or should reside, or what
format it should be in. Can someone please either tell me where and
how such a thing should be added (and whatever commands I have to
issue so that toaster will start looking there), or where I can find
the documentation that will tell me how to do it?

This should handle spam checking ok, but blacklists would still apply. To
bypass rbl checking for a domain (by IP address), add an entry in
/etc/tcprules.d/tcp.smtp with RBLSMTPD=. See
http://wiki.qmailtoaster.com/index.php/RBLs at the bottom of the page.
Don't forget to
# qmailctl cdb
to activate the change.

 Hi Roxanne,

This is part of the simscan documentation. Basically you put it in
/var/qmail/control/simcontrol. Once done, simply type service qmail cdb.

 http://www.qmailwiki.org/Simscan/README#Enable_Per_Domain_processing

Edit the /var/qmail/control/simcontrol text file You can
enable/disable clam/spam/trophie/attachments per domain and per user
and set a default for the whole machine.

 Here is an example:

 [EMAIL PROTECTED] user]$ cat /var/qmail/control/simcontrol
 [EMAIL PROTECTED]:clam=yes,spam=no,attach=.txt:.com
 example.com:clam=no,spam=yes,attach=.mp3
 :clam=yes,spam=yes,trophie=yes,spam_hits=20.1

 Thanks,
 Erik
