Hi Rob,
In this Age of Technology, the fact that a person is caused to spend time in
bed, means less to the life they live than ever before, and it has only been
pathetic when the person allows it to become so. Stay strong.

Hi Dan,
That makes me glad that I set my own schedule. Infection of any kind, always
need to be avoided when you're a Quad!

I definitely agree that he probably died as a result of some complication to
an infection which was more than likely brought on or exacerbated by some
sort of experimental treatment. Frankly I thought he was always in complete

Not to be an alarmist, but did everyone believe the Christopher Reeves story
about passing on from his pressure sore? With all the resources to him a

I read that Christopher Reeves died from infections in his pressure sores as he
was not willing to compromise his schedule.

Christopher Reeves was a man that did not except his disability. He was always
looking froward to someday walking again. I thank that he really didn't think
that a pressure sore would kill him. He was Super Man! But, as you see even
Super Man was prone to infections.

Hi Jim,
I think the questions that surround the death of C. Reeve are there because none of us really know just what kind of medical treatments he was receiving or what his health problems really were. We may never know, so it is up to each of us to live each day of our lives to their fullest

Hi Glenn
Hey folks,
The last docummentury about Christopher's Reeve's progress has just been
broadcasted in the UK, and I have to say it's left a lump in my throat and a
hell of a lot to think on. After watching it I can understand now how it
was possible for him to die the way he did - the

I don't think you can be so quick to judge. First,
you can get a small sore very quickly, just sitting in a seat on a plane for 4
hours and not getting a good pressure release, having a small hole in your
cushion and not know until the end of the day, etc. And even a small sore can get an

he forgot about himself.

I am sorry for his family's loss, sorry for his untimely
accident and death.

You of course have a right to that opinion, but I think it not quite right.
Mr. Reeve probably did more after becoming a quad than all the rest of us
here on this List.
He traveled the world speaking, he went to Hollywood events and parties. I
only wish I could go do some of the things he did.
