This is as if I wrote it. My diagnosis is that long term morphine use has slowed my stomach activity causing terrible stomach pain. Worst is within an hour after lying down at night. I can be fine in the chair until I lie down or drink while lying down. Anything except morphine water! I know that in approximately ½ hour after going to bed that my bladder is most active, the first 4 hours is HORRABLE PAIN. Pain might travel but is mostly in upper abdomen. Last month I went to hospital via 911 for dehydration an awful burping when pain was present. I searched in Google morphine, stomach, and pain. Re: [QUAD-L] about docs giving new drugs
A quads BP should not be treated to increase it. By doing this, you may be eliminating your option to give him medicine that will bring down his BP during instances when Autonomic dysreflexia hits. Try checking his bp after or while he is being active. His low bp is a simple result of a lack of muscle tension. If his heart isn't malfunctioning, then why medicate it. I completely agree with Ron. Doctors do not get a lot of information on quads and what they have is often scewed by each doctors history. If a quads heart is functioning normally, he has low blood pressure. The group of glands that produce the hormones that would correct the blood pressure do not function properly. (if at all). After a while, a quad can be taking more pills than food. I went through this one I got a new computer. Is your system a 64 bit system? If so, NaturallySpeaking won't work on that computer yet. In October they told me they had no idea when they would be able to support a 64-bit system and right now the majority of computers out there have 64-bit systems. If you have a 32 bit system, give me a holler and I might be able to help you out. Windows Vista's voice recognition software does work okay, but it does require a little bit more work to get used to it. I would suggest working within the new documents the voice recognition software works with and then cutting and pasting your text over to the site you're working on. [QUAD-L] where is dana ?
Hi all, I have been in the hospital for 5 weeks with bed sores, sepsis, staph, strep, on going kidney infections with horrible bladder spasms. Due to all of that going on I went through toxic dementia because my body was not getting rid of the pain meds, or infections and that was a living hell of nightmares and not knowing anyone. They let me stay in my room because I am a no code, and the nurses took turns sitting with me at night. I was home about a month and started vomiting and my pain was way up there. The ambulance took me to the hospital where I still had a kidney/bladder infection. They also found out I have MRSA. Home again, but just finished another round of meds, and I believe I have another one. Since I have been back on, I haven't seen any posting from Dana, and have seen her on my buddy list.
