Tony,

Nice Posting and I hope that you continue to posting... even the short
messages. You are living well and can inspire others who wish to wing it on
themselves. I'm sure that their are scary times, but look, you are doing your thang.
Best Wishes.

Hi Greg,
I don't live alone now but I did. My Home Health Care nurse has a 'Dave's Kit' in both of their cars and if I have any kind of problems I can call her and she can be here in 15 minutes! Another reason to treat the nurses nice.

I wondered about you quads that live alone. Do you stay in bed at night with
no-one else at home? What happens if something happens? I've had my cath get
kinked and blocked many times and needed to call my helper to fix it. I
could never feel safe stuck in bed all night

Hi,
I don't post much, but do read all the emails. I am a C 4/5, incomplete quad, from St.
Paul, MN. 24 yrs. post. For me, my brother is living with ms, he will be moving back
to SD. soon. He goes back there, because he has family, every weekend. Before he moved
in with me, I was living alone.
i'm just wonder how many hours you guys get and what all your attendants do for you?

Good question that has a whole bunch of dif answers.
Much depends on your State of residence as Medicade varies.
In Indiana, I have to meet a monthly spend down at the beginning of
each month.
I get 2 hrs in the morning and 2 at night here. Some people qualify for
housekeepers, but not me.
