Hi,
Yes! the disk appears but I worry about these size errors since I tried to
include catuchos in the LTO4 type vtl and it was possible to include only 20
and then there was a lack of space messages.
Regards.

Hi,
How is the TSM server connected to the VTL system ? FC or ISCSI ?
On the TSM server please run the following commands
lsscsi >> /tmp/tsm.out
ls -lR /dev/ >> /tmp/tsm.out
Then send us /tmp/tsm.out and maybe also the /var/log/messages file.

Hi,
Maybe those warnings related to /dev/nvme-fabrics caused some confusion.
In the diagnostic logs show that the 20TB disk /dev/sdb has been detected.
Do you not see the disk in the "Physical Storage" GUI page ?

Hi,
The VTL server is connected to TSM via Fiber via a SAN, with the command

I'm trying to add a 20 Tb physical disk but when I click Rescan I get the
following error message:

Failed to open devpath /dev/nvme-fabrics for reading

You need a reboot after the VTL software install. That is the only way the
VTL fc driver is picked up and replaces the current qla2xxx driver. Please
try a restart and then rescan for devices again on the TSM server side the
VTL device should appear under /dev/
You can use

Hi,
The warnings you mention are trivial and can be ignored.
The reason you could only create 20 cartridges is because the VTL was
configured with 20 slots. You can change the slot count by
/quadstorvtl/bin/vtconfig -m -v -s
Then restart
For example the following will change the VTL
Hi,
A few other points
1. We are not able to trace the model of the QLogic card installed. Can you
post the output of
lspci
or
lspci | grep -i qlogic
2. The QLogic driver loaded is version 10.x which isn't the version of the
QLogic driver we install. We suggest
rpm -e `rpm -qa | grep
Is it possible to manually trigger a Tape Drive Clean Alert for testing
purpose ?
Thanks
