I have dotfiles for terminal, shell, etc., which is time-consuming to set up on
each VM. Is it possible/could you make it possible to inherit specified folder
from the TemplateVM when creating the Standalone/AppVM? In this case /home/user
wouldn't be touched after creation nonetheless.

Does Discord see the input and output audio devices? Does it have a
feature you can use to test them? Not sure what else to suggest besides
checking
I had the same problem (booting directly into the installer), and chose instead
to go directly into the provided root shell and mount the Qubes root partition
from there. You can also go into /boot/efi/EFI.

How are you attaching your headset, with qvm-usb? Test to make sure
that's working inside the AppVM. If not, you can either try a different
one or to assign a spare USB

In an AppVM, Discord voice chat doesn't work. The firewall settings should
allow all outbound connections.

Hi, now I'm trying to upgrade an HP envy desktop system from qubes 3.2 to qubes
4.0.
The system won't get into installation execution from the usb with qubes iso
4.0, it goes into Dracut emergency shell.
Question - how do I write the journalctl file to the usb key from the # command
line? I

Hi,
This guide is to install an Ubuntu VM, not a template.
I had few little issues with the install so here is how I did it, this may save
some time to others in the future.
1 - create HVM image (documented here https://www.qubes-os.org/doc/hvm/)
Note that I configured 800MB for the memory.

Sometimes I need to shut down a qube I'm working in for some reason
(changing out sys-net for a specialized sys-net, or closing sensitive
material before working in a public place). It would be nice to be able
to come back to the same window setup I left, when restarting the qube.
