I can't find any related thread to my problem (here and issues on github).
Any help would be highly appreciated as I'm smart but unfortunately not too
bright. I have no idea how to diagnose this problem and how to make my Qubes

Folks, I've just had a small fight to install vlc. Here is what solved my issue:

is it possible to somehow block a TemplateVM and all VMs based on this template?
I.e. whenever some app would be started in any VM involving this template I'd
like to get an error messages or at least have the operation fail silently
instead of having Qubes start the VM.
