 ah, windows ;)

 It looks like an environment path setting issue. I'm researching it
 now- do you have other rails apps working on this system?

 moved it to 0.7.1 and most of the things work fine there.

 However, as I said, it is spring! We're getting ready to launch the
 site in a few weeks, and I thought it would be a good time to reconsider
 if we should move to 0.8.0 or even 0.9.0 - that's where I would like a
 bit of input!

 The site uses the following extensions right now:
 * Admin Breadcrumbs
 * Aggregation
 * Blog Tags
 * Copy Move
 * Comments (patched by me to avoid rendering error due to wrong level of
 rendering)
 * CodeRay
 * Gallery
 * paperclipped
 * Reorder
 * Radiant Settings
 * RSpec gems (just so that it all runs)
 * TEDN (tedn, ezlang) - my own extension for a few minor things

 What I'm adding right now is:
 * share layouts
 * event calendar

 I think I will also need something that allows people to email a page to
 others (ar_mailer?) and something that lets them submit feedback to us
 about the site (I know there's one for this, just can't remember the name).

 Given these, I am wondering if the extensions all work happily together
 at a higher version. What do you recommend? Should I move to 0.8.0 or
 0.9.0 - or should I just stay at 0.7.1?

Any guidance for me?

Thanks,

Question- why do you have reorder, and copy_move?

Mailer - sends a form to you via email.

This is a common setup so you probably shoudln't have any issues
upgrading, but I'd do it on a test environment first ;)

I used drag_reorder which does what copy_move and reorder does, but
in 1. It does copy too, I believe.

Maybe this is just a difference in style, but I'd go all the way to 9.

[Radiant] no_login_required occurs after integrating forms through extensions

2010-04-05 Thread Gran Ville Van Lintao
Hi everyone, I'm quite new to radiant and ruby in general.

Here's my case:

I'm creating an extension which allow visitors to fill-out some forms
and allow the website admin to view and edit those submitted by the visitors.

The extension works outside radiant, while it's still a rails app. But after
I integrate with my radiant app by ff. the wiki, I get the following in my
browser after i ran script/server

undefined local variable or method `no_login_required' for SiteController:Class

And the application trace:
/usr/local/Cellar/Gems/1.8/gems/radiant-0.8.1/app/controllers/site_controller.rb:4

My extension uses filters, administration, and scaffold-generated user and
various form controllers.

Could there be any conflict to radiant when using any of these? I'm guessing
it's on the filters but I
can't narrow it down.

I also tried uninstalling the extension by:
script/extension uninstall
and the radiant app is back to normal.

Gran

If it works once you uninstall your extension, you might need to post the
extension code somewhere.

Have you written any tests for the extension?
Or could you turn off your filters and turn them on one by one checking for the
error manually?
