I look through rainy glasses. I ride at a speed I feel is safe for me with limited visibility. It is not much if any slower than my normal pace, either. I guess I just adapted to it, much like I learned to break earlier and not put on too much lean in wet weather. Fog is the real visibility

Probably not a reply that's going to be super-helpful, but I commute about 24 miles RT every day, all year long, in the Portland area. Needless to say, rain is a regular companion. And I'm blind as a bat without glasses/correction. I haven't found rain to be a huge nuisance so much as fog/mist.
