These are a little narrower than some other 650B tires. I weigh 140 and ride
with 50 front and 55 rear with Cypres. 45 might work for a fatter tire but I
think it will be squishy for you on this one.

My own practice with kickstands is to put them on beaters and leave them
off nice bikes; the Sam Hill was somewhat in between. With the former,
I've happily indented the stays where the clamps bite down and thought
that it helped keeps the stand from rotating. That said, I've never had a
problem
Drew,
So sorry to learn if your experience. A cautionary tale for us all.
Matt,

We recommend the use of two leg kickstands such as the Pletscher. Such a

I rode my Ram yesterday on a 54 miler with rollers and two big climbs. I had my

comfortable ride and I had no trouble keeping up with the fast riders when
If you run head straight into a 6 vertical rock or whatever likely you
are going to be ejected anyways . . . . lol !
In your riding . . . . be like water . Nothing disrupts it's flow
, it always finds the perfect way , the perfect line .

Like others have written, It is all about riding style. I was recently at a

older fellows in full mountain bikey attire came flying down the trail. The

1. Perhaps integration is the key.
A bike that has a kickstand built into the frame in such a way that it
doesn't damage anything to have the kickstand used with or without the bike
loaded up to 100 lbs.
Since this means tourers, I don't think the consumers would mind a built in
k-stand since

Well if you guys would stop riding off with the two letters open for usual

I've never been impressed with the stability of any chain stay/plate
located kickstands, especially their tendency to have the fixing bolt
loosen over time. Knowing that it could destroy a frame in some way makes
me double down on this feeling.

Shirt arrived Saturday. Washed it and didn't iron to see how it would
turn out. Fits true to size, which is something you can't always
expect. It's not totally seersucker material IMHO, in that only thin
stripes on it have that crinkly, raised texture. Just enough to look
okay un-ironed. Wish they

We are looking at this wrong. Although damage could happen from
overloading and/or falling over when the kickstand is deployed, I think the
real issue is simply the weight of the double-legger itself. It weighs

I enjoy flying on a rugged trail on medium tires in a skinny-tubed frame. I

seatpost was updated to a nicer Nitto one in place of the generic one that
comes with the build.
Hmm I think it's time to lighten my Sam and take off the kickstand.

I'll second everything Alan just said. We stopped in yesterday too, for
the first time. We started our day driving down to College Park (from
Harrisburg), so that my wife could test-ride the Betty Foy at College Park
Bicycles. It ended up being a little too small, but still a beautiful
bike.
