I took the decals off of my rivendell quickbeam. It didn't have the cream
head tube, so it was just a solid green bike, with only the head badge and
it didn't look that different from any other older bike out there.
Lots of people asked me how old it was assuming I had repainted an old
frame.
Hi Bill and Greg,
Thanks for your generous offers of a wheel to help me out. For some reason
I'm not able to reply to either of you via PM. I would like to get a wheel
from either of you perhaps one of you would be willing to PM directly.
thanks.

Hi,
I'm in a bit of a financial low point and I just found a giant crack in my
rear mountain bike rim. I suppose that I'm very lucky that it didn't fail
completely.
I use my bike to transport my daughter and I could feel that it was out of
true, but when I went to put the spoke wrench on it I

For years I used a quickbeam with a rear child seat it worked well in the
smaller gear for most riding.
I alternated it between a trek 620 with gears, for more long distance rides.
When my daughter was younger we used a front mount seat on the trek, I used

I have a set. They are on my bike at the moment, but I've been thinking

so, I cut about an inch off of each end. otherwise they are great. Is
that a deal breaker?

Thanks for the responses. I've always felt like the albatross bars flex
very slightly and while it never bothered me, if I had a choice I would
eliminate it. But not by switching away from the albatross back to
moustache.
So I've wondered about switching to alba aluminum. It would seem that
I’m curious if the aluminum version of the bosco is slightly stiffer
feeling than the cromoly bosco or if anyone has experience comparing the
aluminum alba to the chromoly albatross bars in terms or stiffness or other
factors.
I have the chromoly albatross bars and before that I had the
Congratulations, Do you know how long until you actually get it? My car
was stolen a few weeks ago, and I think I would be way more upset about
losing my riv. Glad you are so close to getting it back.

Hi,
I have a Sturmey Archer S3X that I bought for my Rivendell Quickbeam. Its
put together with a Velocity Dyad rim with 36 spokes. It comes with the
bar end shifter and all of the small parts needed except the cable
housing. It was partly mounted but never ridden. 120mm spacing

Hi Sean,
I'm just a home mechanic, and I've done it. It really wasn't that hard. I
replaced the entire leather top with some saddle leather that I cut and
shaped and it's worked out really well.
I put it together with brass screws and nuts and honestly it's worked great
for 6 months like
Almost everyone who was interested in this wanted just the frame and

Frame forks and headset for $600. If you want the wheelset, I'll sell that
separately for $100 with the very worn jack brown blues. The S3X wheel is
going for $150, even though it's brand new. It includes the
Anyone want to make an offer on this bike. I'm ready to consider shipping
it or selling just the frame and forks for those who've asked me that in
the past.
Thanks.

I have 2 bikes set up this way. I don't have an albastache to compare it
to, but I do like it. I also use road brake levers on the bars.
I've heard of it multiple times on the internet as well. though I'm not
sure that's very helpful information.

Has anyone on this list ever replaced the leather on a brooks saddle. I'm

I've never cooked with one of these bottles, but if I make a coffee and

it being hot for a long time. At least 8 hours, and if you don't drink
