I've never had anyone at a shop be unfriendly, but honestly most of them have
never even heard of the things I'm looking for. Nitto? Blank stare. Cloth bar

The build kits seem to be a logical extension of the typical build sheets
listed with some models. It's easy for customers to know the exact cost, and IF
it saves RBW some time there's a discount in it too. I think after one or two
substitutions it might become a typical custom build anyway,

I have a tire issue that I hope someone can help with. A year ago I hung a pair
of 1 yr old Pasela TG 35's on a hook in the garage. I recently went to
re-install them on my Sam and one of them will not seat evenly all the way
around the rim (Velocity Dyad) no matter what I do. I put several

I had the opposite experience.
I saw a rider up in the distance as I approached the bottom of big hill. I
was gaining, but not that quickly. As I caught up, I noticed it was a girl
riding a comfort bike in flip-flops with her purse and some flowers in the

Anyone know how far apart the Sam orange is between Waterford and Taiwan? I
have a Taiwan Sam and I'd suspect the W'ford color is closer than anything
else I could get.
As for Riv selling touch up, the tail-of-two-Sam-oranges is a perfect

My ratio is infinity:1 these days. I used to ride motorcycles a lot, but
haven't been on one in a few years. I did a number of summer tours with a
buddy - one lap of Lake Superior, another to Nova Scotia and PEI, down to
Deals Gap NC, but just kind of moved on. I still have a late 60's Ducati
Flitz is good. I've also had very good luck on bare metal and chrome with a
product called Nevr-Dull. It won't remove actual pits or deep scratches,
but it's fantastic for oxidation/tarnish and light dirt.

There are some benefits to the front bag, depending on your needs. It's not
necessary to use only a front bag, and many people combine front and rear
as needed. Among the benefits are the ability to easily get things from the
bag while you are riding, the ability to see your bag at all times

doubt it will mount to most bars easily. Though you probably want to take it

I read it exactly the way Grant explained it. I imagine there are a lot of
people out there who would expect to get a foot in the door assuming that,
once there, everyone would be so impressed with their designing, building,
marketing, whatever skills that they'd be hailed as the next GP and
re good 26 tires - Do Schwalbe Kojaks come in 559x50?
I have 700x35's (which are actually barely 32's) on my Sam and love them.
I think wheel and tire weight makes a big difference in feel, if not actual
speed, because they are moving so fast compared to the rest of the bike and

Why yes, I do save any extra hardware I get. A small organizer / caddy has
4,5,6 mm nuts bolts washers etc, plus leather washers, cable end ferrules,
fender hardware, headset spacers, valve stem caps, and so on.

well-broken-in saddle either.

them. Mine were Tektros and were great IMHO. I find that on dirt or gravel I
hate riding on the hoods and prefer the flats, the the cross levers are
