what hub/wheel size are you using? if you're using the SP SV hubs, they
don't have enough power to juice lighting and usb. i have a 650b wheelset
and went shimano dynohub for this reason.

Though the Luxus U is highly loved here I was very unhappy with the Luxus U
and was unable to maintain a charge on an iPhone 6 Plus while using
mapmyride and the screen off. The small cache on the light was not
enough. A larger cache battery such as I have with the E-Werk is much
better for
Dyno lighting is the way to go. I have an Alfine hub on one bike with
Supernova headlight and rear light which works well.
I am in the process of setting up a bike with the Velogical Rim Dynamo with
B IQ-X headlight and rear lights. Velogical is worth considering because

Just doing my best to pump of the value of my Velo Lumino stock

it can feel overwhelming but don't over-think it too much, one thing i have
noticed is that lights are leap-frogging each other in terms of brightness
every year, even something like the luxos u (which is only 2 years old?)
are being beat in terms of brightness by the lights coming out
+1 on the Luxos U. I'm happy with the beam, and routinely use the USB for
powering my GPS and phone. If you go with a separate device for USB
charging, you might have to incorporate a cache battery to even out the
current.

I used the thin wire they supplied and ran it inside my fender and along my
frame by imbeding it ina bead of GOOP adhesive. It holds securely and peels
right off if need be with no damage to the paint. I was trying to have my
