I'm just getting ready to install 60mm Giles Berthoud stainless

Worked for me.

Hello Folks,
Is anyone able to compare the Tektro mtb-style levers for cantis
offered by Riv to those offered by VO? I have the VO set and the
mechanical advantage seems to be lower than the drop bar levers I
replaced. Also, there is a bit of play in the pivot. Is the Riv

Ginz,
I'm using Paul Canti Levers on one of my bikes. Sorta spendy, but
worth every penny: http://www.paulcomp.com/cantilever.html

That's what Mark uses. When I needed some I just asked him and he
gave a small handful to me. I was picking up a frameset at the time
so maybe that was the reason they were free. Call them up and I'm
sure they will get you some for a small price.

Never had them but always thought Cantis used normal short pull
levers.
In any event, I believe Tektro makes the VO levers along with some of
the other small brands. Dia Compe make their own.

The mini-front is totally bomber. Do not hesitate for a second
putting 20 lbs of books on a basket on a Nitto mini front. Does your
quickbean have the mid fork braze-ons? even better if it does. Then
you can massively upgrade the capacity with a Platrack for special
occasions. What a bonanza!
I use Cane Creek flat top levers (for canti's) on one bike. They work
well and are solidly constructed.
I use the Tektro levers a Surly Big Dummy, running v-brakes and discs.
They are good levers that work with v's and traditional canti's. No
issues.

If you can find a good pair of Dia Compes, I would go with them over
Suntour or Shimano. Vintage Campy calipers tend not to stop your bike

I agree with most of your points to the original poster. I've loaded

works great. I'm a college professor, so I can relate to carrying

Should also add the Campy Record Mtb levers are almost impossible to

Curious. I guess absence makes the heart grow fonder.
Shimano gets its share of lumps for drive trains. Their brakes and
levers have always been very highly regarded, if perhaps a bit on the
vanilla side of appearance. Probably easier

The Cane Creek Flat Top lever looks to be the same as my Tektro-
