I had both (the SimpleOne has since decamped to D.C., as my son's commuter). If I rode them back to back, the QB felt a tad quicker/lighter on its feet, the SO a bit more laid-back and comfy. SO had 38mm Marathons, QB Jack Brown Greens, which probably accounted for most of the difference.
