I agree that was a good presentation. Although of course there are no stats available on "the odds" or "the consequences." Which I believe was one of Edwin's points. One situation where I would heartily recommend helmet use: when bringing up this topic on iBoB. Nice to give people the space

I thought a thread for folks to post plus size rims that work with rim brakes would be helpful for prospective Gus Boots Willsen riders. Velocity’s Cliffhanger: Interior width of 25mm http://www.velocityusa.com/ Will mentioned Alex Rims has an option, but their site isn’t playing nicely with

The Panaracer Fat B Nimble is jokingly labeled as a 3.5”, but actually measures more like 2.7”, depending on the run width. It’s a nice rolling tire, but not particularly stout. Eric On Saturday, March 30, 2019, 'Deacon Patrick' via RBW Owners Bunch < rbw-owners-bunch@googlegroups.com> wrote:

Just buy something else. As soon as you do, one will pop up. That happened to me in my search for a Quickbeam. Joking aside, I have a 61 Waterford and a 61 Toyo Atlantis, but I don't want to sell either. I could, however, be interested in trading for a same-maker 58. Good luck! Matt B

Velocity’s recommendation is on their website. 45-65mm, so 71mm (2.8”) exceeds that by 12%. I find this about as helpful as tire inflation recommendations on the sidewall (which is to say, not very). Grin. I’ve ridden greater difference without detriment other than a slighly compressed tire.

Thanks for the responses. I think all signs are pointing towards maroon Newbaum's, or Greengrips heavyweight "wine" color if I can find a place that sells it. I'm kind of leaning away from Newbaum's because their glue is so obnoxious, and the paper backing that it necessitates is even more
