consensus was that there is slightly better breaking performance on the

At least from my experience the adaptors "kick out" production racks too
much so you end up with them sitting too high and the rack slanting up. For
a custom rack that is not a problem though.

I feel like setting bar height in isolation is likely silly.
I have 4 bicycles and each has a different bar height.
The bike's geometry and purpose dictate bar height and bar shape to a
degree.
On my brevet bike I run drop bars below seat with a longish stem
On my Cheviot I run them above sadd
I have been bringing a "sit pad" as of 2016. essentially just a small piece of
cutoff a thermarest. weighs almost nothing, but keeps my butt dry, warm, and
cleaner than just sitting in the dirt.

size. I use their Contrails model for places I can't use my Hammock (mine is a
Dutch, with a tadpole tarp). Hammock takes slight longer to pitch, but is
superior in just about any other situation - especially in pourin

Use triggers on Jones bars for both the dropper post and the 11 speed
shifter (integrated via i-spec with the brake lever).
Trigger on Choco- and Bosco-mooses too. They work great and there is enough
real estate on the bars to make them not get in the way.
On the Choco I ran the shifter right by

I use an absolute black oval ring on my Jones mtb. the theory behind it is that
it smoothes out peaks and valleys of power to the drivetrain and thus
resulting in more traction. Been running one since they first came out. I
really wanted to dismiss the ring when I first got it but the hype feel
even works with singlespeed. no tensioner needed.

This is silly. It is a single speed or a manual shifter bike. For single speed
you need an EBB, sliders, or horizontatal drops. Adding a "dangler" to it is
like saying "I am not shifting my derailer bike so it is a single speed".

Just an FYI, make sure to check thread pitch requirements when pairing cog
and lockring with your hub. Also, different cogs have different thread
widths that can affect lockring engagement. In most cases you will be just
fine, but double-checking just in-case is advisable.

There should be some minimum insertion / max height marks on the stem.
Usually some vertical lines. Insert stem until you can't see them to get to
max height.

Another nice set of Cantis were the recent iteration Campagnolo put out. I
believe they were made for them by Tektro.
They are the best cantis I have ever uses and I continue to have them on 2
bikes (have used Pauls, Shimano, Empella, Mafac in the past). I don't think
they are in production any
