Hi Patrick, On my Medium, I chopped off 5 inches from the super long steerer tube, which leaves about 63mm above the headset. The height of the threadless Bullmoose stem is about 42mm, which leaves me with plenty of room to play with with spacers above and below the stem to fine tune the height.
