Hahahaha, Bike size is one of my biggest fears with Riv. I'm about the same size as Grant, so you'd think it wouldn't be an issue, but like you, I seem to fit 2 sizes on every bike they make. The Clem is an exception. I fit right in the middle of the 52 size range. I'd guess that 59 Clementine

The Cheviot also only comes in three sizes. I am getting a 52 Clem(entine). I don't think it's a matter of "making the 52 work," despite the fact that, at 5'10" and with a seat height around 74cm, I normally ride 58-60cm frames (I do tend to set my upright townie rides 1-2cm lower, legs just

Having a bike with a very low top tube, I can testify to one reason to get the top tube right up there: frame bag space. I love my Surly Krampus and appreciate the lower top tube, but still I envy the other riders whose frame bags can hold more than a tube and some tools. On Fri, Oct 9, 2015 at

I like this line of thinking. It does seem like like getting that top tube right up there is mostly for tradition. My Clem is going to be a smaller than I would normally ride, so it looks like my seatpost and handlebars will be hiked up dork fashion. On Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 7:07:14

It seems like with the limited frame sizes the handlebar rise has to be out of proportion to fit a rider that might normally need a larger frame. If you usually ride a 56 you'd have to make the 52 work. On Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 12:45:11 AM UTC-4, El Sapo wrote: > > > > On Thursday,

Conversely, this would put me on a 45cm with a low standover height. After years of riding folders with the frame *way down there*, my creaky 53-year-old body has completely lost the plot on towering toptubes. They're up there in the way for no reason other than most nice bikes used to look
