the AC breaks, the grid tie
inverter goes off for 5 minutes. The loads operate on the Sw, pulling the
battery down, which closes the relay and the cycle repeats.

Wrenches,
I just picked up 32 Sharp 62 watt roofing shingles that I want to install on my
barn since it is time for a new roof. Has anyone had any experience putting
these modules on a roof in conjunction with cement tiles, which sharp's data
sheet says they integrate with.

was probably
because of the 800 watt PV array and light loads. It would be interesting to
do a real equalization and a capacity test to see what is left of the batteries.

How old are the batteries? Did you do the hydrometer reading, or are you
relying on info from the customer. It is easy toi misread a hydrometer. When
was the last time the batteries were at 30+ volts?

If it takes 2 hours of charging to get to 25.8, the batteries are very
discharged. It should be that high as soon as you start charging with a decent
charger.

There is no amp hour meter in the system
them they need
to run the generator for 40 hours to catch up. Customers never like to hear
that. A trimetric will help them keep up.

the SunnyIsland. When the charger was unplugged, the
array charged the batteries through the SunnyBoy and SunnyIsland. This
allowed the batteries to absorb the array output between charges.

Brian,
I have that setup in the old AEE trailer. We used it for charging a
plug in hybrid for a race. When ever the car was not plugged in, power
went backwards through the SW4024 and charged batteries. The waveform
worked fine with and SMA 1800, which has a 120 VAC output.
