Good morning fellow wrenchers, need some help from those of you that
have a bit more tenure than I do. Was called to look at a site yesterday
that is down due to renovations. It is a gas station that has 20 KW worth of
solar on the canopy, two Trace PV-10208's and two transformers, one on the
Good morning all. We have installed numerous Sol-Arks for this type of
application over the last 2 years and they perform so very well. While they do
a great job with FLA’s they really shine with LI’s or maybe it is my bias about
only having to install 1 or 2 large batteries. Technology has
Recently had this on a project. Turns out it was two things, the cat 5 cables
needed to be shielded so I went to Cat7 and the firmware upgrades did not take
on one of the radians. Had to do it 3 times. System works fine now.

Hi fellow wrenchers. Not sure if this is allowed and if it is not my sincere
apologies. Have a client locally that has asked me about an installer in the
Hampton Falls NH area. They have a family member buying a home and moving
there that will want solar. Any and all help appreciated.
Thx
I also suggest the Sol-Ark 12’s. Extremely efficient, simple to program, does a
wonderful job in either ac coupling, stand alone or pure off grid and terrific
customer support.

I replaced one a little over a year ago on a sunny island, just within the
warranty ( just ). They sent me a new one. It was just the display and it took
15 minutes to change, no new cover suggested or needed. I suspect they have
plenty of them as they seem to fail. Press them. With

Hello Fellow wrenchers. Has anyone purchased and used any batteries from
Electric Car Parts out of Utah. They have a 48 volt, 5, 7.5 and 10 KW Lipo
battery made by Energetech ( China ) . I have a customer that would like to
use the product ( low cost ) but it is tough getting any actual info from

I had an IG10's power supply get wonky two years ago. It would never get past
the first stage. Couple trips to the customers house and Fronius tech support
on the phone ( they were great by the way ) and they shipped me a new one. The
tough part was swapping it out, a bit heavy.

We have a customer with a Sol-Ark and Tesla car batteries. The system, once
the fine tuning was finished has performed great. Sol -Ark was very helpful
even though this was not a traditional out of the box application. They were
great with us as well as the customer ( who kept

Oh the joy of Fla’s. I looked at the battery list. Several are only
available in Europe and some are no longer in business. Take a look at Fortress
Batteries. Great LI tech, warrantee, price point, several models and a long
service life ( 6000 full cycles ) in the meantime you might
Good morning fellow wrenchers. Looking for recommendations on an aftermarket
monitoring system. Commercial site, 208 and customer is putting back 3 times
as much as they are using. They want to know when they are putting back,
when they are buying and how much so we can design the right battery

I believe they are history. Not sure if anyone has any product left. We did a
project for a Marine base in Montgomery several years ago and they had those
trays left over. Not sure who owns them now, will try and find out.

Yes, they do LI's. Yes they sell their own batteries but we are in the
process of using one with Tesla car batteries ( harvested from damaged
Tesla's ). They helped by modifying some the factory settings for us.

Take a look at the Sol-Ark product. Far more robust than the SE and
probably the best hybrid on the market. Can take up to 11 kw worth of solar,
8 kw AC of output with high peak levels. Easy to wire and the customer
support is great. Does work with rapid shut down from a few vendors.

Last year we installed a system on a quonset hut structure. Used a clamp
from S-5 ( Protea bracket I believe ) and Iron ridge x-100 rails. Between the
brackets, self-tapping screws from Tringle and the rail it was amazingly strong.
