How remote? I have just picked up a consignment Sw4024 remote with cable.
Interested?
I don’t think that there’s a remote switch option other than this.

Oh Wise Older Ones!
I have a client that wants to be able to turn off his SW4024 remotely, say
with a 2 wire single gang switch?
I cannot remember & it does not appear in the manual he has as to how this
can happen.
Any memories or suggestions?

Hello Wrenches,
I have a customer with a very old (1995) Xantrex SW4024. He is trying to
connect the two wire start to his generator. This unit has two sets of
terminal blocks instead of the relay spade connectors I'm used to. Does
anyone know or have an old manual that shows which ones to use? I
Hello Bob,
Voltage and frequency will have a greater affect on whether the converter
powers on. Waveform distortion under load may affect the converter but I have
seen many types of loads working fine with some nasty looking AC waveforms.

I don't know about a Bolt, but we've successfully charged a customer's
Chevy Volt from an SW inverter for several years.

Has anybody ever tried to charge a Chevy bolt with an SW 4024 ?
I don’t know if it would be happy with the way form or not and I’m hoping
somebody has toyed with it !

I thought the relays on the SWs were sealed, so visible arcing sounds

Yes, I know...
Doesn't ten years seem a bit weak on a set of Surrette's best? And
the other ten cells are remarkably even. If replacement (which is

I've not had good luck on Surrette 5000s actually. We had a set that
was really problematic early on with battery voltage temporarily

started. They have amp hours rated at the 100 hr rate, and they seem to
behave as expected

I pulled the cover off a defunct SW in the shop to determine how this might be

There is an art and a science to this type of repair and if you mess up the

Yes, probably. However
IF your very early inverter has a serial # 50 or so, there was a
board issue and it will not stack unless that board was changed out.
They got most of them but not all. :)
