We've sacrificed a small-medium ice chest to be the battery box for our tool batteries.  affixed to the side  of the ice chest is a small 7 watt  reptile heat pad with the cord sneaking out the lid and plugged in overnight.  You don't want the pad on the bottom it'll actually get the battery
