Discover and Fortress are all I use for LFP. Closed loop charging with XW based on Soc and UL9540 for my clients in California. Game changer for me. So the low temp problem for offgrid is going to be solved. We just keep them from freezing for now in an offgrid home. Disagree that Life Blue is

This is the way any battery designed for off grid use should be set up. Life Blue may be a small supplier, but they are technically way ahead of the Li+ pack on monitoring, BMS, and cold weather operation. SOC: No complicated comm, just blue tooth on a phone, don't even need cell service. It

The problem with Battle born heated battery is that it was an after thought. It uses power from the battery to heat itself and may fully discharge the battery. LiFeBlue battery does not use any energy from the battery for heating. It also has an advanced BMS-heater controller that can pass low

Like you said Dave, Xantrex purchased Trace and the Xantrex line was purchased by Schneider. Back in the day, if you got lucky in calling Schneider solar tech support, you could find someone who possessed legacy knowledge of Trace/Xantrex products and could assist with trouble-shooting and

Why would you expect Schneider to support Trace? Trace was bought by Xantrex who were bought by Schneider. That seems rediculous to expect parts back 23+ years. One of the reason any company stops buiding a product is the components are no longer available. The other reason is onboard memory to

Those dinosaur Trace PV series inverters REQUIRE that isolation transformer between it and the AC tie-in. As in, it cannot be removed. So a big question is whether the two inverters are in good working order, right? I’ve got inverters of that vintage still operating in the field. One of the

All of the "PV" Series inverters we installed from Trace/Xantrex required external isolation transformers. That is, most smaller string inverters of that era had built-in iso transformers, but the PV series did not. Remember that the DC negative is grounded. I suppose it's also possible that the
