Loren,
I will assume that this repeater has been operating with carrier squelch
for a long time, and that the problem suddenly occurred a few days ago,
and is continuous.
From the symptoms, it seems as if the receiver is either picking up a
spurious signal due to a defect in or intermodulation
Hi Eric,
Anyone have a good design for a high quality Audio circuit to put in between the discrimanator and the TX audio? I not looking for the typical repeater controller design as I've been there and done that. I want the highest posible quality of audio reproduction I can get.

Alan,
You can buy the service manual for a VXR-5000 repeater directly from the
Yaesu/Vertex Parts Department for less than half the cost of copying a
manual, since it is large and there are many fold-out schematics in
color. Visit www.vertexstandard.com for more information.

Don, tell them you want a charlton heston fog lamp relay, if it is a
bosch unit it will indicate 40A melted into the plastic and will work
fine except the micor uses different voltage levels, 9.6 and 12 - there
was a discussion about this last autumn comparing the moto family to
some other that
Oh, then you want a thermal reset breaker which NAPA stores sell for
universal use, costs around ten bux, I put one in for my battery
isolator in my travel van. If you are far away from NAPA try a camping
store that sells generator equipment.

Joe,
I think you forgot another likely reason: The HIGH PASS FILTER in the
mic circuit. Like the high frequency energy, there is also a lot of low
frequency energy (below 300 Hz) on simplex that is being stripped by the
high pass filter in the mic circuit that ensures CTCSS frequencies in

We just picked up an RCA Repeater but know nothing about it.
The model # is COLL4KJA.
Does anyone have a manual or know how to move this to the ham bands?
It is on 460.xxx Mhz.

does anyone now where to get an so-239 with a shield or just a shield for an
so-239?
this is the shield that covers the back side up where the coax is connected
to the connector.
what is the best type of coax to use inside of a micor for installing a
receive antenna?

Why go throuh all that? You can but 900 MHZ Motorola 900 MHz
Maxtrac's, GTX's and so on already on 900 MHZ.
I have picked up a few on eBay and they work just fine as a
rule.
Good Luck,

I use UG-141 and then solder on SMA nut..both from Down-East Microwave.
Then a SMA to Type-N bulkhead (female on both sides) adapter to exit the
case. I re-plumbed both TX and RX this way. Worked very well in a Low-Band
Mitrek.

Stay away from the Ringo's for Repeater use! This was
a poor choice of antenna! I would highly recomend
looking at the Dimmond products. I have had very good
luck using them on repeaters. Besides you get more
peformance form them than a Hustler g144-6.
73's and good luck!

Hi Rick:
The manual is today's post so you should be getting it in about 5 days.
Good luck with the new tester. As mentioned I have used on for about 7
years. The only things I have not used are the peaking generator or the
devation as I have a cushman CE51 that has all the bells and
