Hello to the group,
I have for sale a NEW, never used FF Systems FF-800 4-port controller
w/autopatch
(PCB Rev.E). The autopatch and IC-901 option are independent and
DO NOT use one of the ports to function like similar controllers, so
you still have all 4 ports available.

They work okay. It's a nice one piece design so it is mountain top
friendly, but it would be better if it had some more gain.

My advice would be to use something without a gamma match. The A449-6 is a poor
performer, especially so in foul weather.

I've tried several methods of weatherproofing this antenna over the years -
none of which helped. My conclusion is that the antenna is a relatively poor

I have mounted all four elements ON the tower leg, with no antenna mast. The

So you can mount it as close as you want. I would suggest that you add a

the bottom to keep the mast
I bought the exact EPROMs that I needed for my Tait from Digikey. Not too
expensive as I recall. You can't use the 27C256 EPROM in place of the 2764
that it needs. I think it was a 2764 - might have been 2732 -

If you want to use the 27C256, you will need to modify the EPROM socket

I use the MC2 connectors with the stinger. I trim the stinger back to about
1/2in. Then I affix an N barrel connector to the stinger with a pl259
ferrule. This make a real good connection. I wouldnt want to use something I
could not depend on at 850ft in the air.

I think you pretty much answered your own question.
Like so many other fiberglass antennas, I suspect something has broken
within. It might be repairable, but I'm not familiar with that antenna. And
I'm not a fiberglass antenna fan, this being one of the reasons.

Ralph,
Not much information to go on... What frequency? What model antenna? What
make and model duplexer? What type and length of feedline? What was the
return loss with the dummy load in place? How did you measure the desense?
Between what extremes did it vary? What troubleshooting steps
I had to cut mine to length for 146.34, did yours come with the cutting chart?
Also the set screws might of rattled out in the wind.

Folks,
Thanks for the antenna input. I think there are probably a few more

Tram antennas are. well, let's just say you got what you paid for. I

I have several of these up for repeaters here on the Oregon Coast.
