You can check with the W5YI group. I think they call it COMB or some thing
like that. They do testing for the GROL.

HI Bob:
You can sit for the GROL test by contacting one of the
"testing agents" listed on the FCC website. The list includes NARTE,
ISCET, NRE (National Radio Examiners) among others.
You'll also need to pony up anywhere from $40 to $80 to
take the test.

the Reagan Administration.
I'm not aware of any database for commercial licensees, but if there
is one, I'd guess either the FCC, NARTE, ISCET or NRE might likely
post it on the web.
Hope this helps.

Hello Frank and the list.
No the FCC does not require a 1st any longer but most broadcast stations do.
Your buddy should have traded his 1st for the new GROL. That is need to get
a job with many broadcasters (TV/Radio).
The FCC.gov ULS/FRN system lists tickets held.
Very best,
Russ, W3CH
Could it be a typo?
Mite be a DB-408 maybe.
Or a real old part number?

Gee if you are NOT a business then GMRS would be the way to go BUT make darn
sure that you use a FCC cert. Repeater not something you did. They are real
funny about that.
Good luck,

Our port-a-repeater for two meters uses a full size set of 4 can Wacom
duplexes in a nice box. I do not think any one makes a 600kz mobile or even
compact unit for two meters.

You mite want to review that. As of this writing they do not meet 95A. I
pulled a nice Micor out of service and replaced it because it was not. It worked
well for many years. I sold it to a Ham and they can use it on Ham.

In the front of the ARRL repeater book. Or your local cord body. That would
be a good start. We have repeaters on 927 tx and 902 RX using the Vester
Scott band plan it works wonderful!
