Hi Tom, You can use GE MLS in Ham band with no troubles. You need the original GE programmer to do this. It’s necessary to retune the RX and TX VCO near to 4.5 Volts. Looks for a flashing LED in front of radio this indicate an unlocked VCO. Good luck 73’ Eric _ De :
