Both my Motorola Signal Generators developed an intermittent with the 1 kHz
tone and I pulled the units out of the case and cleaned the pins on the PC
cards.
The old red ruby eraser trick worked like a charm. I also found a light

I have a group who I am working with, they need to get a 220 machine or 2,
and they want to go tait.
Does anyone know how well they work? The issue is trying to get my hands on

I did it to an RC1000 but I did it a little different than most. My audio
going from echolink and the receiver go into an audio mixer before going to
the transmitter.

Is each individual device that's running off that power supply independently
fused in its A+ lead? If so, and none of those fuses are blowing, that points
back to the crowbar circuit in the power supply. If not, fusing each A+ lead
may help to isolate which device is drawing too much current

Just about every Motorola 800 MHz radio is designed to transmit in the 806-825
MHz range and transmit and receive in the 851-870 MHz range.
There are several issues you need to overcome:
1. The software can be over-ridden by hex-editing the MAXTRAC.MDF file.
2. Those radios have good front
Every linear Astron I've ever owned had an issue with vhf getting
into the regulator thru the 12vdc output leads.
I've always cured the issue by putting a 0.01 cap across the output
studs another to the chassis from the pos stud. Additionally, you

protection system was a little different and
caused the power supply to go into foldback
rather than blow the fuse. It required me to
