Both my Motorola Signal Generators developed an intermittent with the 1 kHz tone and I pulled the units out of the case and cleaned the pins on the PC cards. The old red ruby eraser trick worked like a charm.  I also found a light coating of a greasy film on the contacts which I cleaned with a

Is each individual device that's running off that power supply independently fused in its A+ lead?  If so, and none of those fuses are blowing, that points back to the crowbar circuit in the power supply.  If not, fusing each A+ lead may help to isolate which device is drawing too much current
