If you are using the4 RC-210 it doesn't take the link out of commission
during the ID. Say it's time to ID the remote TX comes up and starts
IDing without PL, if someone keys up on the repeater the PL get's enabled
on the remote TX radio and what's left of the ID will be heard.
With the RC-210
After interfacing my C74CXB to an external controller, everything seems
to be playing real nice. In scrutinizing received signals, it seems as
if the the MSF squelch is a little tight and not letting week signals
become week but rather just squelching them out.
The receiver is programmed for
What radios do you plan on using? Some radios already have this capability
such as the Kenwood TM-V7A which I use for crossband repeater all the time
at 50/35watts
If you are planning on a base station system and not portable there is also
software out that will allow you to use your computer as
Receiver Squelch is just that ... a level at which the local receiver
un-squelches. The repeater squelch is the level the station uses to
determine (for its own internal controller) when it is actually going to
pass a signal through for repeat. I would recommend that you just set
both at the

I have a Decibel Products 6 can duplexer. The cans are mounted in a metal box
made for them. This unit is heavy. I will NOT ship.

Was used as a stand-by repeater.

Question for the Quantar Experts:Is it possible to set the quantar up as a
base station, conventional, csq, and only unmute when a particular 4 digit DTMF
string is received?
The radio should revert to muted mode 2 minutes after the last PTT activation.

My experience with a C85GFB is that my squelch also seems a bit tight, but
so far I have not been able to do anything about it. I set it to threshold
when I had the service monitor on it, and the station was within
specifications.
FWIW - I currently have the station set for AND
Unfortunately, a Quantar has no intrinsic ability to decode DTMF unless it is
equipped with a SAM option.
SAM = Station Access Module.
With the SAM option you can do exactly what you want with a combination of SAM
and wildcard programming.
The SAM option can be retrofitted in the field.

1K is for the SAM option is less then half the cost of using a Zetron HEAR
decoder. Might you have part numbers so I can add it to the MOL account?

Hi all
I know this is little off topic. I was given a couple of pieces of test
equipment. One of which is a Heath Schlumberger Programmable frequency counter
Model SM-110b. Does anyone know what is? I don't think its working but it does
come on and the display lights up. I tried to Google it
Hi Mark,
Good to know and thanks! I haven't been back to the repeater yet but
when I get there, I'll make some small adjustments.
Thanks again!
