Yes..Yes---the mark of a SOLID repeater engineer---that would be
he who could take the list of equipment below and put it together
into a flawless system. Perhaps we should add an amateur-grade mobile
radio or two for tx and rx? grins
All in fun...

But you forgot to answer the most important question: What's the best
repeater antenna?
(BTW, there actually is a Mitrex - looks like a Mitrek.)

Has anybody on the group synchronised two or more transmitters together with
a landline/RF link or done it digitally with a DSL/T1(E1) link ?
How is it done?

I have a number of 1/4 kW Micor PURC stations in storage that I need to
get rid of this week. I forget how many there are, probably around 5 or
6. If you're not familiar with a Micor PURC, it's pretty much the same
as a regular Micor except it was made for paging service, and as such,
there

Unfortunately I don't have much to compare its performance
to. The previous antenna was a Cushcraft 4-pole dummy load
at the same height. The coaxial collinear provides MUCH
better coverage (no surprise there BIG grin).
Then your collinear must be very good,
Reminds me of the time I took a pair of highband Motorola Motran
radios ... wired them back to back for use as a portable repeater,
took them, a couple of antennas, antenna mounts, 12 volt batteries
and the always necessary clip leads to Mexico (Baja California)for
one of the Baja 500
Wrong end of the country for me ...
Thanks though,

Here we go with gain again!
A reminder that Crunchcraft
rates every thing in DBc a made up gain. Not Dbd this is over a EIA 1/2 wave
dipole.
Keep this in mind when looking at antennas.

That statement may be true in regards to some of their other antennas, but
is incorrect w.r.t. their omni dipole
