Yes,
I too have replaced one RC100 with a RC210. Nope, not what I wanted
to hear, however I know that in the future when I get some bucks...it
will be replaced :-(
Thanks,
Robert

I just recently picked up a VHF 125-Watt MSF-5000 base station at a local
government auction, the model number is C73CXB-7106B. From some of the
research I've done on the internet, I understand that this is a base
station, 125 watts, and the PA deck model number corresponds to a 146-174
MHz split.
Several years back, I got involved with a couple of repeaters using the MCC
controllers. They just did strange, unexplainable things. The owners of the
repeaters eventually grew tired of the problems and replaced the controllers
with either S-Com or Link controllers. These repeaters now run wit

Many thanks Russ, Joe, Glen and Neil. Spectrum stuff here is SCR200A and

have heard of others having trouble with Spectrum gear but I have to say

You probably do not want to waste your time on this unit. If it is like the
repeater that our club bought, it is a DOG. The transmitter goes spurious
and the receiver does not have a front end. Probably better off for
yourself and the other users of the RF spectrum (not Spectrum

Looking to replace a short (~1600') wire link between control site and
transmitter with an RF link. There are many inexpensive RF modules
available to run at 927/928 and seem likely candidates but I'm
somewhat concerned with ISM and Part 15 devices that also "share" 900

The MLS240's use an eprom which is programmed with a self contained special "suitcase" programmer. The MLS241's are programmable through the mic connector with the level converter, a PC and software. I've tried programming the MLS240, (called a MLS1) by using a straight Epsom programmer but so fa
You guys aren't paying attention.
A transmitter with a 0 ohm output impedance doesn't imply that there is a
short circuit. We're talking about an effective source impedance, not a
termination impedance.

Hi there Ian;
It sounds like you are a Maxon dealer?
A better option if you wanted to persue the single CTCSS path and to keep
your quiescent current on your solar sites down would be to utilise the
Maxon SD-170 series of "Data" radio's for your repeaters. We have used these
