I've had good success using Maratrac radios as transmitters, but not so much
luck using them for receive. I usually run the drawer only, with no control
head. Is there a known good place to tap receive audio to feed to a
controller? I'm willing to dive into a service manual, but if someone

You most likely damaged the Maratrac's interface board, maybe the audio/squelch
board as well but not all is lost. It can now serve as spare parts for your new
Maratrac. What variety (band) of Maratrac was it?

If you can hear white noise, I would suggest that you start in the RF
side of things. You very well could have a blown front end on that
unit. Other things to check would be your IF section.

are 4 channel control lines, I do not have the truth table around for
it). On the advanced head, you are out of luck.
