How does one force a single file to get backed up that RS thinks is
already backed up?

Launch Retrospect
ImmediateBackup
Select your source and destination volumes if they're not already selected
Click Options
Click More Choices
Click Matching

Not sure if this is a known problem or not, but I tried doing a
remote update on all of our Macs today. Those computers running
Norton Anti-Virus's "auto-protect" extension crashed when the update

Yes, that works like a charm-thanks Craig.
Looks like the cause of the original problem (of having a possibly
corrupted file that RS thought was ok) had to do with SCSI voodoo.
Changed the chain around (VXA now last) and things now appear to be
much better.

There were some fixes introduced with 4.2A/4.3 that may make updating the
clients worthwhile. Most important, though, is Retrospect's new License
Manager system, which makes activator codes obsolete and will prevent future
activator code conflicts--as long as you're installing only new 4.3

I've just updated 4.1 to 4.3 on the app, and 4.2 rdu 1.9. Everytime I start
up it tells me that the extension is too old?? Any ideas would be
appreciated.
