Does anyone use software compression or is this a waste of time? I'm sure it
slows things down even more.

Do you mean that if a CD is written with Retrospect it wont appear as a
volume to the finder but can only be used with Retrospect? Is that it?

about 200MB/min. Things will slow down horribly when it hits the clients at
10Mb but I'm looking forward to checking the log tomorrow to see how it all
went.
