Fred,
Just curious, any idea on when this new release might be coming down the
pike? Also, any big departures from the current model of Rivendell? Is this
3.0? Thanks for indulging my curiosity!

Greetings all,
Work is steaming ahead on producing a Debian appliance of Rivendell. Thanks
to the hard work of David Klann, hopefully we will have a test version in a
month or so. It will be on Debian 8 with the latest version of Rivendell.
We are hoping to have appliance that will be easy to play

Misleading.
The implication is that it's the supported OS, while you're
talking specifically about a main-line unsupported OS.
Personally, I always favor naming things in a non-obfuscated,
non-a
good point

What's a "Rivendell"??? Once a "product" is known, it works ("Google"?),
but until its reputation takes hold, it's a crap-shoot as to whether it
will become a household name.
I also like the technique of name mashups: Something like Rivian or
Debindell (but those are a bit too close to "Purple" an
I actually like Rivian!!! It has a ring to it, and still describes the
product. I'll take any other offers though. Good ideas.

As a rather attractive woman corrected me once upon a time,
It's Stratford upon Avon
and not the Americanized Stratford on Avon.
While I do like the "ring" methinks I pr

Would be consistent ! ( and quite memorable, as well as unambiguous )
Replace the whitespace ( delimiters ) with underscores, and methinks
you have a hit, a

I am using a computer I have not used previously to edit logs (we edit our
music down to the second because we have programming that has to be hard
timed)
Anyway...we edit in RDAirplay because this is the only way to see the "real
time" of how the songs will play with the segue markers, etc.
I take your point on removing whitspaces, however it seems like underscores
look tacky. Perhaps some other symbol in keeping with the theme?

Does Rivendell have the ability to display live copy?
I have a client who wants to use Rivendell in live assist mode, and
they want to find something better than a three-ring binder to manage
their live copy.

One option might be to use message box rml "MB" in a macro cart to pop
up during a live read.
Thanks
