@Aldo
You can try my latest stable version compiled on Debian 12.
Visit my website "http://www.stockinger.org/"; and klick on "Musik" in the menu
bar.
There you can download the stable version (!) "rosegarden_24.06-1_amd64.deb".
Greetings, Michael

I also compiled Rosegarden from the latest git version.
I can confirm the moment I click on a button in the device manager it crashes:

Greetings!
I tested the new lv2-plugin option just now.
I generated a file consisting of 4 tracks, each track loaded with a separate lv2-plugin: Yoshimi, AMSynth, AVL Drums, ACE Fluidsynth.
It worked well, no xruns shown in QJackCtl. The GUIs opened and the controllers were adjustable except
How about an incremenial numbering feature while working:
You open an existing file "song" and it immediately becomes "song000", ten minutes (adjustable in default settings menu) later it becomes "song001". I am no coder, is something doable?

Lorenzo, I don't think anyone minds if you announce the new release on LAU forum. I announced it on Linux Musicians forum and hope, noone minds too :-)
Greetings and thanks forthe good worg to everyone involved!

In the meantime you can download the latest stable version 22.12.1 from my
website "www.stockinger.org".
Additionally there is the unstable version 23.06.
The version number of rosegarden is defined in the file "CMakeLists.txt" which

I took the liberty to announce the release of v22.12 in Linux Musicians' Forum.
A package for Debian 11 64 bit can be downloaded from my website "www.stockinger.org/musik.html".
Dear Devs, I thank you very much for your efforts!

Hi Ted! Hi there!
I compiled the latest code and did my usual testing with a very large audio and midi file containing a lot of modulations, tracks, overlapping notes, ...
So far it works very well for me on Debian 11.
Thanks for your work Philipp and Ted!

Hi Ted!
I just now tested the latest supplement features. Both showing note names and showing black keys in the matrix work fine here on Debian 10.
I like the black stripes in the matrix and think the note names can be useful although I didn't use them - as a lot of the many other hidden feat
r16078 improved but I still have the following issue:
When I rename the folder "rosegarden" in my home directory to e.g. "rosegarden1", the program still crashes when moving with the mouse to the entry "clear latest files".

Hi there!
Of course this is sad and an unwanted behaviour of the software (if it is the
software). But I want to point out that version 17.12 is also very old. Which
system are you running Rosegarden 17.12 with?

Hi David!
Thank you for your response. Until now I thought only politicians are able to
work more than 100% :-)
I test Rosegarden on a MacBook Pro 8.1 (i5 with 4 cores@2.6GHz) but also run
Athlon XP 3000+ machines, they still perfectly handle songs with many MIDI
tracks and sev
k loop.
I will make the connection algorithm avoid the local MIDI Thru ports.

Hi Ted!
My "unfavorable" settings in the recording parameter menu (all midi input
devices, all channels, midi through auto routing) are causing a cpu load of
104% according to "top" - didn't know that is possible :-)
Choosing only one midi input device, one fixed midi channel and midi auto

Hi there!
Does anybody experience this behaviour too:
Since the latest commitments (code version 1589x - 15904) the cpu load rises strongly (in my case 45-60% and more) when Rosegarden is idle and in QJackCtl a lot of xruns are generated. After loading a song into Rosegarden and starting to play
Hi there!
Wouldn't it be a good idea to announce the launch of Rosegarden 20.06 on "Linux
Musicians Forum"?
By the way, it was a great pleasure for me to be (a very small) part of the
contributor's group :-)

To me, only variation 1 and 5 are acceptable :-)
Variation 5 is my favorite but preferably with the yellow-orange colour as it
always had.
