By the way, if you shop online (as I mentioned ebay.com), make sure you factor in the shipping and handling cost. Some sellers show really cheap prices, but add ridiculous shipping and handling fees to the transaction. So, buyers beware. Of course, my previous direction will search only for

Avoid those that need firmware (m-audio Midisport springs to mind) as support is not always possible. Class compliant items go from the ubiqitous 1-in 1-out dongle through to mighty rackmount items like the 8-in 8-out ESI M8U. --
