Hello everybody,
is there any possibility to set default values for some custom fields
right after opening form, not after pressing create button. I found just

Hi all,
We have a rt3.4.1 installed, everything is working fine. Now we got a
new server and I tried to take the chance to go to rt3.8.1.
After inserting the dump to 3.8 and database upgrade everything works
fine except of the broken attachments. Is this an general issue or maybe
an encoding

Hi,
I have an issue with WEBrt, certain mail sent to rt gets cut off, below
is an example, the first part is the original mail sent and the second
is how RT is displaying it in the ticket. Thinking it is a
syntax/formatting issue but not sure what...

Hi All,
ok. this problem is really annoying me.
I've been following some excellent install instructions from here:
http://wiki.bestpractical.com/view/Ubuntu_8.04.1
on how to install rt-3.8.1 on ubuntu 8.04.
All good down to the bit on initalizing the database.
At the end of the intialization
Remove all ExternalAuth code so that it authenticates against the
database. It needs to first create the default users in RT. Once the
make initialize-database is done, then add the ExternalAuth into
RT_SiteConfig.pm and you'll be great.

Hi Keith,
Thanks for the quick reply!
I'll give it a shot now and post back with my results.
Cheers!

It turns out that I was improperly setting WebPath in my site config
I had

in my site config, I commented it out so that it would use the value from

There may have been a reason for that in RT3.4.5 which is what I just
Hi,
I have been looking at the $FriendlyFromLineFormat option. Is
there a way to change it per-queue? Some of our queues we don't want the
users name to be in it, we just want to use the queue name or queue
email address.
The problem is, we use RT for two different systems. One for

To close the thread here, I've changed all the RT accounts to use the AD

When a custom field value changes on a ticket, I'd like to parse a
default priority value out of the custom field value's description
field. I looked at some of the source code quickly, but I didn't notice
a class method for directly accessing the description. I'm using RT 3.6.
Thanks,

Dear Friends:
I finished a brand new RT installation on CentOS 5.2 (version rt3-3.6.5-3.el5).
For some days it worked fine. Now I cannot display the tickets after
doing a simple search (or any kind of search). The links are broken:

I have a new RT v3.8.1 I'm setting up on FreeBSD 7.0. I'm seeing a number

That's your typical perl warning for using undef values, in a condition
check or whatever. There's ways to get around them while coding by
checking defined first but you can basically ignore them.

Hey Folks,
So for some reason my search page fails intermittently, if I click on

with my username/password for the MySQL database
