Re: [rt-users] how to change a queue name
You see, I have always had to make sure that there is an alias for the queue in the aliases file. As far as I know it is not automatic. Unless I just dont understand how your system is put together. On 30/11/2015 21:55, Martin Criminale wrote: Kobus Bensch Trustpay Global LTD email signature Thanks Kobus. With our installation if the email address prefix matches the queue name there hasn't been any need to edit the aliases file. For example, if I forward someth...@ourdomain.com <mailto:someth...@ourdomain.com> to our RT server and in there have a queue named "something" it just works. We have only needed to edit the aliases file if we wanted email with some other prefix to land in an existing queue. Does 'fixing' the name in the web interface of RT not fix something behind the scenes? This is what I am suspecting but I'm not sure how to check. If that is the case I guess we would need to edit the aliases file. *From:*rt-users [mailto:rt-users-boun...@lists.bestpractical.com] *On Behalf Of *Kobus Bensch *Sent:* Monday, November 30, 2015 1:34 PM *To:* rt-users@lists.bestpractical.com *Subject:* Re: [rt-users] how to change a queue name have you changed the aliases file? [rt-users] Help with some logic
Hi I hope someone can help. I have RT 4.2.12 installed with Approvals. I have setup a queue with a few CF fields for our Change Request System. On some of the fields I have created custom scrips and templates to let that department know that they have a CR that they need top look at and possibly action. I have setup the system as follows: New CR get created. During the Approval process, the departments get notified, but an Approval is also created that is sent to the Change Request team for Approval or rejection. After the approval comes through, the CR can be commented and replied on. As our CR's need 2 people to look at and authorise the CR's, I need to put some code somewhere that will check if the CR has been signed off by 2 people. Can anybody suggest where in the process I can add this check. Ideally, I would like the people that can sign off CR's to be notified as soon as the CR has been approved via the Approvals process. [rt-users] New ticket layout change
Hi I am in the process of creating an electronic change request system in RT. At the moment the layout is as follows: - | Create new ticket | Basics | Requestor | Queue | CC | Status | Admin CC | Owner | Subject |--- | Describe Issue |Assets | |--- | |Custom Fields | |CF1 | |cf2 | |cf3 | |cf4 | |cfr5 | |cf6 | |cf7 | |etc - How do I move the Custom field section to the left and across the whole page for this one queue if possible? How do I change the filed sizes for CF's on a per field basis? Thanks in advance. Kobus P.S. I have searched for the 2 queries. On the first found no answers. The second there are multiple answers, but I could not get any of them to work on a per field basis. Hi I am still having problems with the login screen after each click and read in the readme that it is better to use latin1 character set. My mysql is currently using utf8. Is this part of the problem and should i be changing the char set? How do I go about doing that? Hi If I have already done this and I do it again, will it cause some further issues? Kobus Quoting Jon Tollerton <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: You most likely need to upgrade the schema of the database if you're on mysql 5. Even if you were on mysql 5 prior to the upgrade, you still have to follow the upgrade instructions. Hopefully they'll consider more clear wording in the docs in the next release! Re: [rt-users] DBD::mysql::st execute failed: MySQL server has gone away at
Hi I am able to access the server, I am able to login, and in some cases even able to brwose normally. The problem I then get is that when I try to create a ticket it thinks a bit and then gives me this error. Due to this error the server creates massive logs, so much so that I have to reboot the server and delete it as soon as it comes back. I deleted a 81GB rt.log file. Further problems, but after tghis issue has been solved is after each page i try to click on i have to login. Last error I sometimes just get blank pages. RE: [rt-users] Unowned Tickets list
Hi Kenn Thank you, your advise was spot on. Kobus -Original Message- From: Kenneth Crocker [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 02 November 2007 22:20 To: Kobus Bensch Cc: rt-users@lists.bestpractical.com Subject: Re: [rt-users] Unowned Tickets list Kobus, From what you've listed, it looks like anyone in this group SHOULD be able to see all unowned tickets, at least in queue comp1. I didn't see the right to modify listed so I assume you have granted that right globally to the role "owners". I would think that the key to "seeing" unowned tickets in a queue is having the rights "TakeTicket", "StealTicket", and "OwnTIcket" for that queue either individually or thru group rights. Also, if those rights are granted globally to "Privileged" or "Everyone". If those rights are granted to any roles globally or for a queue and someone is in one of those roles then that will also allow them to see unowned tickets in a queue. I might be wrong, but that's how it seems to work for us. Kenn LBNL On 11/2/2007 7:11 AM, Kobus Bensch wrote: > Hi > > I saw an email from an RT user regarding unowned tickets.
