I had difficulty over the last couple days getting Sage 7.4 to build. Something like ten packages would fail to build, but not always the same ones. It finally occurred to me that there might be some race condition going on. Sure enough, running make without multiple jobs solved the problem.

Daniel, there is an additional option for Text objects that does what you want. Add the keyword argument "clip=True" to your text and it will be clipped according to the min/max settings. This option is not yet in the documentation, so I've created a ticket to take care of that:

Ralf, I was looking at a notebook created some time ago when I reported this behavior. After reevaluating the cell containing an elliptic integral, the LaTeX formatting was indeed rendered. The problem is now just with SageMathCell so I've opened an issue on GitHub:
