Depends on whats broke. Could just be crud on the contacts that need
cleaned, or it could be the board is cracked or a trace on the circuit
board is fried. On the extreme end, the logic circuit that runs those

use Pennzoil, and they are just about completely worn out. Seems like

89 Shadow TBI car. Of course, it has a lockup converter in it. My
question is this. Can I put on a non-lockup converter and will it

to be replaced at the same time, or the bearings will wear out
prematurely. On top of that, when you replace bearings, you change the
clearances of the bearings, and there can be too much or not enough load

to use the earlier converter in your later 413. I think it would be
much easier and cheaper to just buy a later converter with flats and
just put it in.

As far as I know, all turbo a413's came with a 3.02 final drive. Most
others had a 2.78 final. As for replacing the bearings and races, you
can swap the gear and bearing housings, and probably be alright, but you
never know. You should set the preload on the gear to do it right, but
I just used safety wire on mine. I hooked it around and grabbed the two
ends with a pair of pliers and twisted it. Course, it wont last as long
as a c-clip, but it has been working fine for year now and I havent had
any problems with it.

It sounds like you havent given the computer enough time to learn how to
idle. Almost all older (pre 90's cars) had issues with idling if they
were fuel injected until you put a few miles on them. My 85 SC has the
same issue. If you unhook the battery, it will do that for about 50
miles or

and jack the car up high enough to clear or pull it up out of the top.

I have two Garrett compressor housings that I have to choose from to
convert my T1 to T2. One has been ported, but I'm not sure if it was
the right thing to do. Which one would you guys suggest that I use?
