Hi All
I checked the fuel pressure, turned the key cranked the engine and zero fuel
pressure. What is the benefit of a Walbro high pressure fuel pump compared
to lets say a stock one?
Thanks

I had an issue like this on my daytona shelby. It was the factory security
system. It would let the fuel pump run for a second or two on the run position
like normal, before turning to start position, but would not stay on when
started. It would happen when the security system was not disarmed
I'm not sure this really matches your symptoms, but another thing that
causes starts then dies problems is a bad MAP sensor. When one is bad you
can unplug it, then the car will run (roughly). You didn't mention if there
are any codes.

Sounds like you already know what the problem is. Perfect excuse to
upgrade to a 255l/h pump :)

You're on the right track, Roy. It will most likely be the HEP, followed by
the
fuel pump. They are supposed to hold pressure, but often do not. A third
possibility is a bad logic module. I have seen this particular failure a few
times before. I would try the HEP, first. The HEP is
