I would suspect the CS would be great for secondary infections as the birds usually pick at these growths. However as a cure it would be of unlikely since most of these cases are caused by a mite...not bacteria or virus. I have used CS both locally and topically for yearsand sprayed into

If your bird is a parakeet (Budgie), then the growths are most likely Scaly Face, which is caused by mites. There are specific treatments for that, usually it is an oil that suffocates the bugs. I don`t think CS would do them in, unless it starves them or something like that. CS is great
