It seems to me just a variation on the usual theme. One can use anything. Glass is very suitable . A simple lean to with a southern exposure. Have the bottom of the glass sit in a gutter raised at one end to drain into a collection pot. Sides, etc can be wood , plastic whatever. A lot of solar

You know, my daughter use to have this clear plastic umbrella. It seems it would be ideal to make such a thing easily, and it would be collapsible. All that would be needed would be a circular catch basin that the tips of the umbrella rest in, and a big pan of water in the center. Marshall j
